Board of Advisors, Weston Network
I’m currently serving as an advisor to the Weston Network, supporting the expansion of the Respectful Confrontation and the True Power Leadership training models. These engaging approaches to conflict resolution and relationship building are revolutionary and now in use around the world transforming conflict into a mechanism for reconciliation and lasting change. I’m honored to support this endeavor.
Applied Human Givens Psychology
The discovery that optimal human functioning can be sustained along with the fulfillment of our innate emotional needs has important implications for individual, team, and organizational success. Human Givens principles offer organizations a simple and accessible framework for understanding why organizational structures policies and cultural norms either support or hinder engagement and performance. Furthermore, this revolutionary system of psychology has established itself as the most effective approach to dealing with severe mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, phobias, and chronic anxiety disorders, many of which have been completely redefined by their research. I am proud to be part of a global initiative applying Human Givens psychology to personal well-being, professional development, team effectiveness, and organizational development.

For those seeking to get out of group think and discover non-standard sources of inspiration. This training system is not related to optical illusions, but rather our ability to perceive situations, people, and systems clearly and without bias. Perceptive ability is one of the predictors of success in leadership positions and many of my executive-level coaching engagements involve improving the ability to perceive and navigate situations where uncertainty and complexity dominate. Counteracting bias in our thinking and perceptive abilities is only a small part of this – through a process called context bridging, we 1) cultivate our ability to perceive subtle contextual influences, 2) develop outlier sensitivity in our assumptions, and 3) build creativity and resourcefulness in our thinking.
A specialization of mine for over 10 years, I support the development of resilience as a functional quality of individuals, teams, and organizations – especially in the context of growth and change initiatives.
Offered in 1:1 coaching and in workshops, this comprehensive program addresses the internal and external factors that govern our resilience and offers an effective development pathway encompassing 5 Domains: Strategic, Tactical, Situational, Psychological, and Somatic.
Improving Coaching Outcomes and ROI
Quality of coaching engagements as they pertain to ROI can only be determined in the context of a clients’ developmental needs and a coach’s ability to meet those needs. While the core competencies offered by the International Coach Federation describe the basic competencies necessary for effective coaching, they are not intended to describe the value proposition of coaching, nor do they address optimal fit between Coach and Client.
In practice, ensuring successful outcomes and optimizing ROI from coaching engagements requires a sophisticated understanding the leader’s developmental needs. Experience has shown that careful matching along five dimensions – Developmental Objectives, Motivators, Level of Self Awareness, Learning Style, and Personality Requirements – paired with a comprehensive coach vetting process that leverages an effective and efficient developmental process is optimal. This project is designed to improve the return on investment in coaching by improving the quality of the match between coach and client and by helping organizations select coaches that can best support development within the context of the organizational culture.
Somatic Learning Lab
Comprised of somatic psychologists, personal development thought leaders, mindfulness practitioners, and organizational development experts, our objective is to “Develop more sustainably conscious leaders creating and leading more conscious, sustainably effective organizations and accelerate changes across an organization with an expanding circle of leaders who are operating from this new level of intention, awareness and choice.” Our work serves to advance experiential learning and the application of somatic education to personal and professional development through 1:1 coaching, seminars and workshops, and facilitated team development.
